Sonette Ehlers, a South African woman has invented an anti-rape female condom which is also known as vaginal bear trap to prevent women from being rapped. Do you know why it has been named as vaginal bear trap? It’s because this condom prevents rape by hooking onto an attacker's penis, hurting and disabling him. This method is similar to the bear trap which is used for catching bears and I hope this might be the reason behind for naming it as vaginal bear trap. Actually this device has a latex tube fitted internally with shafts of sharp and inward-facing plastic barbs which could be worn by women in her vagina and it hooks up the penis of the attacker causing him pain. In this time the victim gets enough chance to escape from the attacker. The important thing here is the condom would remain attached to the attacker’s penis and it can be removed only by surgical means.
So if the attacker goes to the hospital it would alert the hospital staff and police that the guy has indulged in rape.
Though the device has lots of advantages it has been severely criticized by most the people which include men and women alike, including anti-rape activists, former rape victims, and members of the media. They described the device as barbaric, vengeful, horrible, and disgusting. Since the condom is not visible to others except the person who wears it, the device can be misused as a trap for framing an innocent man as a rapist.
Even Sonette Ehlers agreed with the above point and she also stated that everything can be abused, but the main reason behind this invention is to prevent women from rapists.

the invention is disgusting. might as well invent a condom that a woman pre coats with her own vaginal fluids, then she can put it on a man and shout rape. this is invented by the worst kind of feminist, who wants to be able to frame every man as a villain who deserves to be jailed because he saw a woman in the street.
